Spring is arriving here in Cedar Rapids (airport - CID) and with all the snow melt during the day; fog has arrived in the evening hours. We received the following e-mail from our Account Executive with FedEx this morning ...
To all:
Our planes did not leave Cedar rapids, Iowa last night due
to fog. Therefore ALL Priority (10:30am) and Standard (3PM) next day air pkgs
will not make service.
The freight did move, just on a truck. I
apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Mother nature has decided
to melt the snow rapidly! Which I am happy about, but unfortunately, this has
caused some pretty dense fog.
