Need help: DI Tanks, Resin and Regeneration for the TDI835?

We had a customer recently e-mail us about questions on the Tucker® TDI835. We thought our other customers might enjoy some of the information we shared with our customer on this product and options ...

We shared with him the Operating Specifications for our Tucker® TDI835 (See attached PDF of Specs for TDI835). They have not changed and the tank holds just under 1 cubic foot of resin. The Material (Resin): .98 cubic foot of mixed bed de-ionizing resin. A 8" x 38" Tank would hold 1 cubic foot, but is a larger tank. We selected the 8" x 35" because it is a very popular size in the field. We can supply smaller and larger tanks, per special order.

We generally sell both one cubic foot of virgin resin or one cubic foot of regenerated resin to customers. We would recommend you save your resin when dumped, so you can look into getting it regenerated at a later time. Regeneration is likely available in your area, but we can assist with regeneration of the TDI835 tank or providing you regeneration of the resin only, without sending the entire tank back. Storing it in a drum or box lined with plastic is what most customers do. Drums can be shipped back for regeneration in bulk, if required. Single batch resin can be shipped and returned in plastic lined boxes.

In refilling the 8" x 35" tank, you will use roughly .98 cubic foot of the mixed bed de-ionizing resin. We would be happy to discuss providing you re-fill resin for your specific needs. When we ship replacement resin, one cubic foot is shipped to refill the tanks. Remember, the capacity of the TDI835 is .98 cubic foot, so there will be some resin not used.

We can sell new tanks (various sizes) with or without resen. We can provide you with a supply of one cubic foot units of new or regenerated resin, depending on your customers needs. Our resin is window cleaning base resin and is the standard resin that we have been supplying to various customers over the years.

Please get back with customer service at Tucker, so we can provide you with a pro-forma on the material. We hope this information will help clear up some questions you have on the TDI835.

Sincerely,

Robin Tucker
