Our industry publication, Maintenance Solutions, highlights the recovery from the Flood of 2008 for the University of Iowa.

The City Iowa City, home of the University of Iowa, and City of Cedar Rapids, home of Tucker Manufacturing Co., Inc. were both impacted heavily by the Flood of 2008 that hit the Iowa River and Cedar River basins.

Our facility was just blocks away from the flood zone here in Cedar Rapids. Neighbors, vendors, customers and others in our community were greatly impacted. Steam service to Cedar Rapids business was knocked out, permanently. Our facility utilized steam service in our operations, so it was a hardship for us here at Tucker However, the impact of the Flood was far worse on many of our neighbors here in our community.

What model is needed for the Job?

When it comes to exterior window cleaning and surface cleaning, having the right model and method of window washer or exterior maintenance system is required. It may be simply changing brushes, adding a gooseneck or detergent dispenser.

We have recently seen a pick up of our 12 foot models. These our models that reach up to 48 feet to 83 feet, though once you purchase a Tucker Pole. In many cases, customers and operators will take on and off handle sections as they prepare for various jobs. In many cases, having more than one model will provide for the highest utility, then trying to use one model for all.

It is always interesting to visit with customers, regarding how they are setting up waterfed in their operations. From a simple set up to a very customized approach, waterfed can be expand your business opportunties. Having the right tools for your operations is always good advise.

Using the Tucker Pole for over 40 years in their building service maintenance business...

Our staff processed an order today from a customer who has been using Tucker Poles for over forty years for their janitorial firm in the Chicagoland area. Marlene reported they purchased another Tucker® Model 30 C, an extra clamp and we helped them out on two handle sections that were stuck together on one of their older Tucker Poles.

July 1, 2009: Today is Canada Day

We want to wish all our friends and customers to the North a very Happy Canada Day!

Tucker Manufacturing Co., Inc. was founded in 1945. In 1957, we introduced the Tucker® High-Level Window Washer. We began exporting shortly thereafter and Canada was naturally our first export market. We enjoy the business we do with both English and French speaking Canada.
